Glastonbury Festival hopefuls will always go to great difficulty in getting a ticket to the Worthy Farm extravaganza.

They queued up, downloaded 10 different browsers, used every device they could find, organized a ticket syndicate of 100 people… And yet the tickets arrived in November, leaving many without that golden pass to the best event in the world . summer.

It’s heartbreaking stuff.

Since the tickets are now sold out for 2025, there are only a few ways to get into the iconic Somerset festival, which starts on June 25 – and one of them is to buy bulk quantities of cheese.

In what is simply a genius marketing tactic, Worthy Farm Cheddar has teamed up with the Cooperativewhich gives customers who buy a block a chance to win one of 10 pairs of tickets for the festival.

With such an attractive prize at stake, Pilton cheddar was a hot item at the opening of the competition, the results of which will be announced tomorrow.

‘Honestly the s**t I have to do to get tickets to Glastonbury. Buy cheese now ffs,” wrote @Ryan01020304061.

Others panicked because they couldn’t find a co-op branch that stocked Worthy Farm products.

‘@coopuk can you please tell me where my local store with @Worthy_Cheddar is? I went to the Spital store today and they don’t have it in stock, my local @mycoopfood has it in stock but they’re not part of the Glastonbury Tickets competition and I have to enter to win it,” wrote @lilaclove76, apparently panicking.

‘It’s bad that Glastonbury makes us hunt for cheese to get a ticket…most likely the stress of the April resale…’ wrote @IanBates10.

‘I’m lactose intolerant…but the needs are met!’ wrote @GlastObsessed, while @wheresmytent_ said: ‘I’m trying to stay off Twitter but hoping my fellow Glastonbury addicts can all keep their fingers crossed for me. I ran out tonight and bought four blocks of Worthy Cheddar with my @coopuk card, hoping I’d be lucky enough to win a few tickets.”

Good luck to everyone who managed to get their hands on a few blocks, as the competition is now closed and the winners will be announced on December 13th.

The award-winning cheddar – made from the milk of the Worthy Farm herd – was first launched in 2022 by farmer and festival founder Michael Eavis.

In 2019 the Co-op was selected as Glastonbury’s first ever retail partner, and they open a store at the festival every year (brilliant for buy ice to keep those cans coolFYI).

For those who end up with 10 blocks of cheese but no ticket, your next chance to get one is during the April resale, when canceled tickets are put back into a pool and resold.

That is unless you feel like volunteering and litter your way to fun. Let’s face it, with rumored headliners included Stevie Wonder, Chappell Roan, Charli XCXAnd Neil Youngit would probably be worth it.

The only act confirmed for Glastonbury so far is Gentleman Rod StewartWHO will take the stage for the Sunday Legend slot.

Last year the entire line-up dropped in mid-March, but that was a particularly late year.

If the lineup is as good as promised, very few tickets will likely be offered for resale – especially considering 2026 is a fallow year, so everyone will want to be there in 2025 to make up for it.

Feta luck next time.
